Multi Factor Authentication

No matter how good your password, there is always the possibility it will be stolen, or that you will be tricked into revealing it. To help in such instances, it is recommended to use 2-factor authentication wherever possible. This will involve an additional verification step to your login procedure. Normally to login you just have to enter your username and account. With 2FA you will have to provide a second verification of your identity. For example, you might be asked to enter a code sent to you by SMS, or that is generated by a second app to which you have access.

  • To set up 2FA, you will be asked to provide a ‘second means of verification’ – a number or app where you can be reached.
  • It only takes a few minutes to set up for each account, and it’s well worth it for the amount of additional protection it gives you.
