One reason to be careful about sharing images, even with your partners is that sometimes the relationship doesn’t work out. And in some cases one partner may share online more intimate pictures that might have been shared with them during the relationship (or taken without their knowledge.) Sometimes this is done for revenge or indeed in an effort to blackmail an individual.

If an explicit image has been posted online, contact the platform’s administrators to have it removed.
