Promoting online safety, knowledge, cyber hygiene, and digital awareness across Sri Lanka. By Sri Lanka CERT

e-Learning Content Development for Information and Cyber Security

Over the last few years, cybercriminals have figured out that humans are the weakest aspect of cybersecurity and shifted from electronic hacking to social engineering, in which they deceive people to hand over their sensitive information. Many organizations underestimate this human factor, although people’s understanding, knowledge, and perception are critical for protecting digital systems.

Understanding this trend, the National Information and Cyber Security Strategy of Sri Lanka has proposed online training for all government employees. Sri Lanka CERT|CC therefore plans to design and deploy e-learning modules to increase the cybersecurity capacity of government employees.

Project Objectives

  1. Design and develop cybersecurity curriculums for government employees (targeting senior management, middle management, and non-executive staff).
  2. Design and develop e-learning content in trilingual format.
  3. Increase the uptake of cybersecurity modules.
